Tacky Tammy touts all of this scientific knowledge, so we looked into her “science degree” to verify the rigor she underwent earning it.
The Scientist that wasn't (She Lied About This Too).

-
Here she has a “Degree in Applied Science.”
-
Now she is back to having just a “Degree in Science.”

Tammy graduated from BYU-Idaho in 2016. Registrar records from BYU-I show that the degree she earned was an “Associates of Science degree in General Studies.” This degree is typically earned in two years, so we will be using the course catalog from BYU-I for the years 2014-2015. We may be off a little bit here and there on the requirements she was actually subject to, but this is the best guess we have with the lack of information provided.
-
To graduate with an associates of science degree in 2016 she would need 60 credits. 32 of those need to be Foundation Credits and the other 28 can be electives. 8 of the 32 Foundation Credits need to be in “Eternal Truth’s.”
-
"Eternal Truth’s" is BYU-Idaho’s term for religious studies. Here are the required courses. FDREL 121 Book of Mormon FDREL 122 Book of Mormon FDREL 200 Family Foundations Then they can pick one more from a laundry list of options you can see on page 413 of the catalog.
-
So she's got her 8 religion credits there now she needs 24 more credits to get the 32 required ones out of the way. 9 academic credits. 7 science credits. 8 cultural awareness credits ACADEMIC CREDITS: Here are the academic credits that can be taken. (3 credits each) FDENG 101, Writing and Reasoning Foundations FDENG 201, Advanced Writing and Critical Thinking FDMAT 108, Mathematical Tools for the Real World (3 credits)
-
SCIENCE CREDITS: Here are the science courses FDSCI 101, Science Foundations (2 credits) Students complete 5 credits of the Issues in the Sciences courses (numbered FDSCI 200 or higher) Here's the science 101 description.... "An introduction to the nature, practice, power, and limitations of science, as well as relationships between science and religion, and science and society. These topics are explored through the study of selected episodes of scientific discovery that demonstrate methodical and creative aspects of scientific inquiry, and the self-correcting nature of science."
-
CULTURAL AWARENESS CREDITS: The cultural awareness credits are. FDAMF 101, American Foundations (3 credits) • FDCA 101, Foundations of Humanities (3 credits) • Students complete 2 credits of the 200-level Cultural Awareness courses (numbered FDCA 200 or higher).
-
For the remaining credits she could pick what she wanted to take. It could be nothing but religious classes or some of these options. What we can see is that the degree is definitely not science focused and it doesn’t require or offer any higher level science courses.
